Reflections

This is one of the few songs currently being played to death on my mobile. It's really a nice song with very meaningful lyrics. I believed this is the song that Madonna wrote about her relationship with Guy and which somehow do reflect normal couples...that we are always much better when miles apart. So here's the lyrics for you to crunch.

I just woke up from a fuzzy dream
You never would believe those things that I had seen
I looked in the mirror and I saw your face
You looked right through me, you were miles away
All my dreams they fade away I'll never be the same
If you could see me the way you see yourself
I can't pretend to be someone else

You always love me more, miles away
I hear it in your voice, we're miles away
You're not afraid to tell me, miles away
I guess we're at our best when we're miles away
So far away…So far away

When no one's around then I have you here
I begin to see the picture, it becomes so clear
You always have the biggest heart, When we're six thousand miles apart
Too much of no sound Uncomfortable silence can be so loud
Those three words are never enough When it's long distance love

You always love me more, miles away
I hear it in your voice, we're miles away
You're not afraid to tell me, miles away
I guess we’re at our best when we're miles away
So far away…So far away

I'm alright, don't be sorry, but it's true
When I'm gone you'll realize
That I'm the best thing that happened to you
You always love me more, miles away
I hear it in your voice, we're miles away
You're not afraid to tell me, miles away
I guess we're at our best when we're miles away
So far away

She's icy but good!

Wannabe...his role in this movie is only to show us that he's the next Indy.

Okay. Not bad. Not exciting and not much fun.

Say what you want, but i'm having my Whopper!

Like it or not, this is what i had for lunch. Yes, i'm not ashame to admit it. A Double Whopper with Bacon & Cheese, a regular size fries and a small Strawberry Shake.

From my background check, this meal probably counts for about 1500kcal, at least with DOuble Whopper itself is already about 900+kcal.

Well, since i'm planning of gaining back some weight, this should be good. Furthermore, i just burned another 500-600kcal at the gym this morn. We had an extended Combat session today. Tasty! Indulgence! Satisfying! Burn it and eat it!

Drumsticks....

After trying microwaving my food last Sunday and found it to be quite tasty, I did it again today and this time with photos and recipe to share. Simple and quick yet healthy. Here goes...
3 Drumsticks. With or without the skin, it's up to you.
Local spinach, enough for one person.
a ziploc bag, one of the best creation ever.
and stuff for marination.
For marination you will need the following:
3 cloves of garlic, pounded lightly.
1 tablespoon of olive oil/sesame oil/ cooked oil
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 teaspoon of sugar
dashes of salt, grounded pepper and oregamo herbs
stalks of coriander leaves
To enhace the taste, the following can be added
Cooking wine or suitale alcoholic beverage (I do not have cooking wine, so I use Vodka instead. Just about one to two teaspoon should do)

HP sauce/ BBQ sauce (in this case, I used a seafood cocktail sauce.

Put the drumstick and all the above stuff into the ziploc. shake it and leave it for aout 4-5 hours.

This is how it will looks like.

Next, the cooking. You can cooked it in an oven or like me, microwave it. Should be around 400w and 10 minutes, depends on the chicken itself.

For the spinach, just boiled it, add a spoon of olive oil or sesame oil, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, dashes of salt adn fried garlic.

Well, here's the result. Generally quite tasty considering the number of hours in marination. The only thing is that it's had that hinge of bitter taste coming from teh alcohol (Marinated too long)

Well, do try it. It's not about skill, it's about the willingness to mix differen sauces.

The Hunters on the Prowl Again.

I’ve been hunted twice in the past week. That was quite a record for me. Has been a while since I was being hunted in such a regular interval and both hunters are relatively new to me. One such hunter, I believed is relatively new to this forestry that he did make some simple mistakes and not doing enough background checking. It’s like random shooting and being me, the hunted one, I had to play my role as a nasty target. I do bite! Overall, escaped one but got tagged by another one.

The first one was a female hunter. And she’s totally from another universe. Hence the zoo that she described to me, of which she would like to put me on display was really not interesting at all considering the patrons who will be visiting this zoo are very much corporate people. Not my cup of tea. The most funny thing about this hunter is that it took her quite a while to introduce herself as if she’s trying not to reveal herself being a hunter but couldn’t find a better term. Being an experience hunted target, we will and should know how to play around with these newbies.

The second hunter brought with him a zoo with a much familiar ground. Hence, I did spent some time running slowly around the forest while the hunter laid his bait. Sadly, the location of the zoo was way too familiar and of which I had no intention of going back to that location. After reviewing the bait, I realized the zoo that he wanted me to be on displayed was actually my previous zoo. Not that I hated my previous zoo so much but as we (the ‘huntees’) have constant communication and some updates on different zoos, I believed, this zoo is not that appealing at the moment to return to. Like I said, if this hunter has done enough background work, I believed he wouldn’t have wasted his time targeting me.

Well, at least it’s fun to be hunted again.
For you who have no idea what this entry is about, don’t try to.

A Serious piece of S***

It has been a while that I treated myself for a Saturday outing ever since moving to the new place. With the works and grocery purchase, this afternoon is definitely something nice to at least enjoy for a moment considering the news on China continue to give us more and more grief.

Of course, if you wish to read something to forget about this devastating stuff, just head over to any Malaysia newspapers and look for news on the politics and their antics in the parliament. While this is nothing new as we have seen worse with the Taiwan politics and probably Korea, but I just wonder, is the Western parliament just as interesting and eye opening?

Since I only rely on the online English daily in Thailand, there is really nothing much to read about except politics politics and politics. Even though the election had been over, yet, the new government is still that stable in the sense that people are still hitting hard on the new PM. As a bystander, shouldn’t we give the new PM some kind of probationary period?

Or probably with the continue gloom on the economy, people just want fast and workable solutions. And all this is simply contributed by the increasing oil price. Somehow, I just don’t understand how could oil prices increased to such level in such a short time, as if much higher demand and much lesser stock, which I really doubt that. And everything is going up (in terms of price) and yet we have two Airlines continue to give the customers the benefits of zero pricing.

While I’m happy about it but to have one airline outright denying it is competing with the other airline is downright idiocracy. People these days are not stupid. We are just ignorant.

Wow, can you believe this piece of ‘see-rock-at-peace’ that I’ve just written!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Time to order another cup of Teh-C.

Dedicated to a friend......

All your bags are packed, I guess you’re ready to go
But the dawn is breakin, It’s early morn
The taxis waitin’, He’s blowin his horn
Already I’m so lonesome, I could die
I’ll hug you and smile for you Tell you that I’ll think of thee
Hold you (in memory) and I’ll never let you go
cause you’re leavin’ on a jet plane
Dont know when you’ll be back again
Oh babe, I hate (to see you) go
Now the time has come to leave you One more time Let me hug you
Then close my eyes, We’ll be on our (separate) ways
Dream about the days to come When I had to be alone
About if there will be anymore 'Millenium' times
Oh, hug me and smile for me
Tell you that I’ll think of thee
Hold you (in memory) and I’ll never let you go
cause you’re leavin’ on a jet plane
Don't know when you’ll be back again
Oh babe, I hate (to see you) go
But, you’re leavin’ on a jet plane
You’re leavin’ on a jet plane
Leavin’ on a jet plane
Leavin’…..

A Moment of Silence

I didn't realise it was that serious and as I'm typing, I believed the (death) toll continue to climb.

It was around 2.30pm, I was having a discussion with one of our Director and suddenly we heard this creaking sound ("erk...erk...erk....erk") coming from the glass panel, which is basically the wall.

The first thing she mentioned was "Is this an earthquake?". I told her it's probably the strong wind considering that our previous aftershock experiences had been a few hours after a major quake in neighboring countries and I was just browsing some news and none mentioned about it. But the sound continue... so I decided to search for more news and the US Geological site did indicate a big earthquake detected in Central China in the last hour. And since it was quite a distance away and it's inland, I thought there might not be much casualties....and how wrong I was.

And this is just right after the typhoon incident in Myanmar. Back to back...with thousands of casualties...global warming? signs of the world collapsing?

Either way, my prayer and sympathy goes out to the victims and the families....

A moment of silence....

This is what I have to say....

Too Much of NO SOUND UnCOMfortable SILENCE can be so LOUD
Don't Say U DO when U DON'T Cos when U do, I guess I DON'T

Brunch A Munch!

Sunday morning...no food left for breakfast...still felt mentally retarded...need BRUNCH!

That need kinda scared me considering my new place here is quite a boring place with not much nice restaurants to go for. Well...Tesco sucks. Emporium is too far and need proper dressing.

Luckily, there's this cafe about 15 minutes down the road...it's located at the much happening side of Phra Kanong. My condo is located in the so not happening side while there are more shops at the other end.

This cafe is called M-Coffee and Bakery. Nothing special but at least acceptable ambience, small but not really boutique-ish...but the cafe do have a full fledge of varieties of F&B. Wanted a cold drink, so I order the Ice Hazelnut Latte and a Waffle with Strawberry Ice Cream since they ran out of Blueberry ice cream. Overall not bad but I had taste better Waffles in Bug&Bee and I believed Black Canyon Coffee taste much better.

But...considering it's the only cafe around here, I guess it will have to do to enjoy a quiet Sunday brunch. Cost me 135 baht...not too expensive but not cheap either. Very the McCafe price. But I think i will make this my regular Sunday brunch outlet...continue to try out more of their menu and then come back and complain about it here.

I so miss the Cafe in Pnomh Penh...

Why are they so many "Whys"?

Finally finished with the sequel to the book "Why do Men Have Nipples?". This one titled "Why Do Men Fall Asleep After Sex?" Honestly, I had a hard time finding this book and somehow was a bit embarassed to ask the shop assistant since they are all females and with such a bloody titled, you might just sound like a pervert or horny nerd guy!

As I have reviewed the first book, this sequel is quite good though I had to admit that it is not as good as the first one. I mean, how many sequel out there can outperform its predecessor, perphaps JRR Tolkien. Anyway, this book is about 1.5 times thicker that the first one, meaning more crazy questions and also more meaningless IM session between the two authors.

In this book, there are quite a few good medical questions addressed but the only part that I don't really like is the core storyline they had when introducing each chapter. In the first book, the intro was more practical since it's happening in a social party scene. But overall, another good read, more medical stuff learnt and more crazy stuff to think about.

A few topics which I really like from this book:

1. Can friends synchronise their menstrual cycles? (Why in the world people wanted to do this is a wonder by itself!)

2. Do animals ever committ suicide? (A question I have never think about before but interesting!)

3. Can garlic prevent heart disease and cancer? (Good question. My mom regularly remind me the benefits of Garlic......)

4. the full name for the acronym ACHOO

5. Last but not least...Do animals masturbate? (ROTFLMAO!)

Well, my bro had already bought both books since I refused to give the first one to him. What are you waiting for?

Lyrics Galore Part 2

totally siphon this from another blog. good lyrics but not sure how's the song sounds like. But I hope I can use these lines one of these days....

Giving up, why should I
I've come too far to forget
We're beautiful, we just got lost Somewhere along the way
So much was missing when you went away
Let's start from here, lose the past
Change our minds, we don't need a finish line
Let's take this chance don’t think too deep
Of all those promises we couldn′t seem to keep
I don't care where we go
Let's start from here

Standing here face to face
A finger on your lips
Don't say a word don't make a sound
Silence surrounds us now
Even when you were gone I felt you everywhere
I've never been the one to open up
But you've always been the voice within
The only warmth from my cold heart

Let's start from here, lose the past
Change our minds, we don't need a finish line
Let's take this chance don’t think too deep
Of all those promises
Let's start from here, lose the past
Change our minds, we don't need a finish line
Let's take this chance don’t think too deep
Of all those promises we couldn't seem to keep
I don't care where we go Let's start from here

Lyrics Galore Part 1

This is the lyrics to I Am...I Said, the song that Brooke White sang on American Idol which got her voted out. Poor gal. I also change the lyrics a bit to reflect me...

Bangkok's fine, sunshine most of the time
The feeling is laid back
Traffic continues to grow and the rents are (bloody) high
But you know I keep thinking about
Making my way back

Well, I'm KL City born and raised
But nowadays, I'm lost between two shores
Bangkok's fine, but it ain't home
KL's home but it ain't mine (somehow) no more

I am, I said
To no one there
And no one heard at all
Not even the chair
I am, I cried
I am, said I
And I am lost, and I can't even say why
Leavin' me lonely still

Did you ever read about a frog who dreamed of being a king
And then became one
Well, except for the names and a few other changes
If you talk about me, the story's the same one

But I got an emptiness deep inside
And I've tried but it won't let me go
And I'm not a man who likes to swear
But I've never cared for the sound of being alone

I am, I said
To no one there
And no one heard at all
Not even the chair
I am, I cried
I am, said I
And I am lost, and I can't even say why

I am, I said
I am, I cried
I am...
