Sing....Sing!

After two weeks of waiting, I finally got hold of Annie Lennox's Greatest Hits. And it was well worth the wait with 14 gems in it.
Unfortunately, I also just realised that there is a Deluxed 3 Disc edition with a 2nd bonus disc of rare tracks including the Idol Gives Back track (Many River to Cross) and the duet with Alicia Keys on Everybody Hurts. The 3rd disc is basically a DVD of all her music videos. damn.
I should have waited longer like how I waited for SImply Red's 25 Deluxed Edition. With just an additional 100baht from the original 2 disc version, I got the DVD with all the 25 music videos. that's another review later.
I'm putting the CD on shuffle and every song is simply a gem on its own. My fave? The hauting Love Song for a Vampire.
Sing sing sing! If only she included a bonus disc on the remixes, for example the superb Moto Blanco mix of Sing.

The Movie Marathon weekend...halted temporary

Okay...i've stopped at 4.5 movies..not bad for 3/4 of Saturday, ain't it or that just show that i'm not having any life at all?!
Neways, here's how the marathon started around 2pm.

Funny? Nope.
Stupid? As always.
Disaster? Yep.
Like: The take on Amy Adam's Enchanted character
The stupid Amy Winehouse and Juno.
Good for the first movie of a marathon, it's so bad that the next series of movies will feel much positive.

Was supposed to go to the cinema to watch it but was too lazy. Furthermore, it's not even in those classy cineplex but in two very old cinema (probably in line with the 'slum' image).
No argument that it was a good movie. It's not about how Jamal won the Millionaire contest but the love story behind it was well played. And the quite true story of the poor kids life in India.

Read my earlier entry.
Definitely had to watch it again. Not that it was that good, in fact it is not. But i was watching the Cantonese version, so i need to watch it again with the original HOllywood version.
I have yet to finish this one.
Ricky Gervais again being the 'asshole' guy but do find the interesting bit of seeing his vanity side (haha) on his first non-date date with Tea Leoni's characters.

Ben Thomas, IRS

I didn't think I would cry as the secret was very well revealed quite early in the movie and one would've already expected the ending of Will Smith's character.

But it was the final scene when Emily (Rosario Dawson) went to meet Ezra Johnson (Woody Harrelson), that I can't help but let it all out. The scene was not really sad at all since it's two strangers (only bound by Will Smith's Ben Thomas) met for the first time. However, I somehow understand Emily's feeling at that moment and it was really really happy yet painful.

I'm not gonna say more. While this is no In Pursuit of Happiness, in fact it was not that 'gluey' for the first hour but if you do want to watch, be patient and watch till the end, not for the Secret but for that final scene.

Continue to milk our money

I do hope that this will be the last release of Rihanna's Good Girl Gone Bad album as I could not think of any other possibilities that the record company could release any more crazy version of this brilliant album.
Back in 2007, in Europe and in Asia, a enhance version of the Good Girl Gone Bad album was released which come with a 2nd disc, that consist of key remixes of tracks in that album. Of course, back then, Take A Bow has yet to be recorded and so was the track with Maroon 5.
in 2008, a Reloaded version was released with the two songs mentioned but minus the remixes.
And in early 2009, after 2 years the album was released, we got a Remix album. And for those who already had that 2007 Special Edition, there's really nothing new and worth to purchase since that disc contains 12 remixes, of which 8 of those tracks were featured in this new Remix album.
So, what's new and what's missing?
New tracks:
Disturbia (Jody den Broeder Mix)
Don't Stop the Music (Jody den Broeder Mix)
Take A Bow (Tony Moran Mix)
Umbrella (Lindbergh Mix)
Missing:
Don't Stop the Music (Wideboys Mix)
Haunted (Steve Mac Mix) - a track from previous album
Cry (Steve Mac Mix) - a track from previous album
SOS (Digital Dog Mix) - a track from previous album
So, is it worth to purchase this new Remix album? that really depends. If you have yet to purchase that 2007 special edition, then probably yes.
Most of the mixes are quite okay, and if you are an avid clubber, you would already have listen to most of those mixes anyway. However, the Jody's mix of Don't Stop the Music featured here is not the Big Room mix version, which was a better mix.
Perhaps they should have compiled a much updated or rare remixes rather than these common ones. Example, the Tracy Young mix of DSTM was an exceptionally refreshing track.
