It's Dinner!

After having a chance eating at Piri Piri Chicken (aka Nandos) two weeks ago, I find it quite appalling that the restaurant is charging a plate of grilled chicken breast at such exorbitant price. So I decided to make one myself. So if you are looking for a nice simple healthy meal, here's one recipe for you.

Pan Fried Chicken Breast

Igredients:
1 - 2 pieces of Chicken Breast
Vegetables (either Baby Carrots, Frozen Mixed Vegetables, Beans, etc.)
Egg (Optional)
Soya Sauce
Salt & Pepper
Oregamo Flakes (alternatively Basil or Parsley)
Sesame Seed Oil
Sugar
Garlic
A slice of lemon

Firstly marinate your chicken with all the salt, soya sauce, sugar, pepper, herbs, garlic and oil. The amount depends on the size of your chicken. Leave it for at least one hour.

Boil the vegetables in salted water. Do add in a spoon of oil into it. The rationale behind the salted water and oil is to keep the color of the vege looks fresh.

Pan fried the chicken until cooked. You can lightly slice the breast in the middle especially if it's a thick piece. This is to ensure it's properly cooked.

When it's almost cooked, pour in all the marinated sauces left.

Prior to serve, squeeze some lemon juice onto the chicken which will definitely enhance the taste.

Here's the result!

While it looks a bit dry but it is not. The meat is quite juicy and the vege are soft. You need not to have any sauce to go with it if you marinate the chicken well....
